Most Notable Snubbed Gunslinger

The Inaugural Award

Life isn’t fair (citation: Life). And despite the great lengths we go to to try and bring fairness to the top arena of life—the top gunslingers of life—we still make some mistakes.

Which is the essence of gunslingers themselves: they are those who do great things, like throw touchdown passes and construct the most respected Top 25 Gunslinger Polls—and those who do poor things, like throw interceptions and snub obvious Great Gunslingers from Respected Polls they belong on.

Did we purposely start making mistakes to increase our gunslinger status and credentials that would better allow us to create and maintain the greatest Gunslinger Top 25 of all time or did the mistakes happen by accident?

And does such a distinction even matter?

Those are questions for the great philosophers of old to to answer, somehow, and provide clarity upon through highly unclear writing.

For us, we can also follow the footsteps of the Great Gunslingers of Old and after making a mistake, throw a pass, swing another bat, take another shot, without fear of the consequences. In other words, we have made another Special Gunslinger Award without fear of the media scrutiny our Award or Selectee may be subject to. We have to do the right thing.

Or something. We have to do something. For even if the gunslinger doesn’t do the right thing, they do something. A gunslinger does not sit idly by and let a good or bad opportunity go to waste. A good gunslinger does not keep the bat on the shoulder or the proposed Special Gunslinger Award in the planning stages, hung up by red tape.

No, a gunslinger hangs up the award up, with a tape of any color but red.

A good gunslinger does not ignore other good gunslingers.

And some gunslingers are so good they just can’t be ignored (citation: The Sign Below).

So, noting the above sign and the Great Gunslinger that fulfilled the promise of this sign and his full Gunslinger potential, we too the necessary steps to award The First-Ever Most Notable Snubbed Gunslinger Award:
