This is the perfect track to open up All Eyez on Me.
While this isn’t the typical hit song or party song this legendary album is filled with, it is a great intro filled with very solid rapping from 2Pac and unusually expansive rhyming at this point in his career where he did become a little repetitive in that department. In that way, this song stands a part from the rest of the album.
Another way it is different is that this track is virtually all 2Pac, in an album filled with guest rappers. But the first and last tracks of each of these two CDs of All Eyez on Me are each filled with straight 2Pac verses.
And such is this great 2Pac Friday.
