As Thanksgiving is all about thankfulness and appreciation, “Dear Mama” is certainly a most appropriate 2Pac track.
While this is “Dear Mama”s first appearance on this youthful SLP 2Pac Friday tradition, it certainly will be the last, as this moving 2Pac track is in the inner orbit of his music.
As this is Black Friday and many people are shopping and businesses are giving deals, we too feel the urge to participate in the promotional traditions of the day. So, this 2Pac Friday is a BOGO of sorts, a Buy One/Get One of 2Pac Friday tracks. The only catch is that the first one is also free. And so it is with 2Pac Fridays where 2Pac’s greatness is one that cannot be charged.
So the bonus track on this 2Pac Friday needs to be one that includes some sort of buying and so we have gone with “R U Still Down? (Remember Me)” because of the line in the 3rd verse “buying on the things on TV/and getting skeezed.”
We hope everyone has a good 2Pac Friday with your family. If you also celebrate Black Friday, that is great; that is up to you; that is optional.
Celebrating 2Pac Friday is not. It is mandatory. But the best kind.
