The Interview:
Hernica Jean-Charles
Part #3—Fashion & Performance
-
As you can tell from my interest in Sweet Livin' shirts, I like to wear clothing with pizzazz. For example, I love wearing clothing with gems, bright colors, leather, interesting/fancy cutouts, et cetera. I may dress in a casual fashion at times, but will add jewelry and/or heels to spice up the look. I'm a creative; I like to put pieces together and go with whichever suits me best.
-
It has to be the gray and white Sweet Livin' tank, with black lettering. It's a perfect fit and is the only Sweet Livin' item so far which has already taken a trip with me to the Golden State of California.
-
Bring on the great questions! I prepare for other productions by taking time to review and memorize the script. This process cannot happen immediately before the filming. It flows much easier for me and feels more natural if I give myself as many days as possible to familiarize myself with the script. I may even decide to record myself rehearsing lines to help me view and improve my performance. The day/night before filming, I will re-review details regarding location, time, props(if any) needed. I will prepare a bag with everything I think I'll need for film day. Doing this makes film day go much smoother for me.
-
I've become quite comfortable with the preparation process for product/apparel shoots. These are my favorite because they save me from rummaging through my closet looking for outfits or spending lots of money on new outfits. Well in advance, I will inquire what type of apparel I will be wearing to help me decide whether I should bring additional clothing/accessories to compliment the apparel. The night before the shoot, I will prepare my model bag with everything I'll need and everything I think I might need for shoot day. I will also perform some research on the photographer's work, to help me understand his/her shooting and editing style and think of different poses/angles which could work best. Then, I would review the location and call time details one last time before getting some beauty rest before shoot day.
-
Absolutely; Sweet Livin' for the win!!
-
It's a little bit of both--Depending on whether I have the outfit already in my possession(somewhere in my closet next to my sweet livin' shirts), or if I realize I may not have ability to create the desired look with what I have already, I might be more spontaneous or preplan the outfits the night before respectively. It's always great to preplan, however, sometimes there's a tradeoff between preplanning or other responsibilities or sleep, so I use my best sweet livin' judgment to decide whether I have room to be spontaneous or if I seriously need to preplan my outfits.
-
Gabrielle Union. She's classy, dedicated to success, creative, active, intelligent, professional, and more. Most of all, she's versatile, very talented, and experienced; I think she would nail my character.
-
Beyonce! She’s beautiful, has a beautiful voice and empowers women with her music.
-
Recently, I've been enjoying listening to "Calm Down" by Rema featuring Selena Gomez. However, my favorites tend to change often.
-
Tough question-- because I like a good amount of Tupac songs. But If I had to choose one, it would be "Changes" Hearing it these days brings back so much nostalgia.
-
Everything! Well mostly songs falling within the following genres, just because I am most familiar with them: R'n'B, hiphop, afrobeat, Haitian Kompa, and pop music.
-
They would most definitely find me doing both--Singing along and Jamming out :) My multi-tasking skills are a force to be reckoned with lol.
-
I'm proud to say "It Is"! I can indeed wear a Sweet Livin’ shirt while, at the same time, saying “Sweet Livin’”.
-
I would advise Gabrielle Union and Beyonce to do their absolute best to live their sweetest Sweet Livin' lives and hope to be chosen lol. If they're not chosen, at least their efforts would set the stage for those who feel inspired by them, to strive to live their best Sweet Livin' lives as well!
They'd be using their platforms for good by encouraging greatness!
