In the early part of the millennium, Nate B. was gaining knowledge as a student at the University of Pittsburgh, one of the original Public Ivy Runners-up (citation: Moll, Richard). Beyond all of the high-quality silver-medal knowledge Nate was accumulating in the classroom, he acquired some first-place wisdom outside of the classroom where good friend and roommate Chris A. would say Sweet Livin’ a lot.

From there, just as sound waves travel by air and A is followed by B in alphabetical order, Nate B. began saying Sweet Livin’ a lot. Before you knew it, good friend and roommate Chris V. joined in with Sweet Livin’ others to make the phrase a common greeting and salutation throughout campus as Sweet Livin’s became like a Greek Chorus in the fraternity houses and non-recently-health-and-safety-inspected basements of Pittsburgh’s historical South Oakland neighborhood where cheap beer and Sweet Livin’s flowed like water in one of Pittsburgh three great rivers.
