SLP Calendar vs. Old Dutch “Good Beer” Calendar:
An In-Depth Postgame Analysis
When we do in-depth analysis, there is no “going Dutch” like lackluster romantics splitting a bill after a date. We take decisive action with bold statements in our analysis. In other words, we don’t waffle.
Flannery O’Connor once famously wrote a whole story about how “A Good Man is Hard to Find.”
But what about good beer?
Is it hard to find?
That is a matter of opinion.
What is not opinion:
Good beer is good to find.
As such, dedicating a whole calendar to it is a strong move that makes for a worthy competitor in any competition.
So if you think we’re just Don King promoting our Mike Tyson of calendars by putting it up against week opponents, think again.
And if you think we are just willy-nilly boasting about the SLP calendar, think again. We invested money in researching other high-end calendars. Look at this Old Dutch “Good Beer” Calendar from 1967. It costs us 20 dollars, not to mention shipping and handling.

Our calendar has 52 2pac Fridays on it. If you were just to consider the value of 2pac Fridays alone on the SLP Calendar, then one could fairly conservatively deduce that the SLP Calendar, is worth a minimum of 1,040 dollars (52 x 20), if our calendar were ever to be able to be put into monetary terms.
This does not even consider the fact that this calendar is missing some other high-end days like Christmas, the Super Bowl, and Thanksgiving. Additionally, at the time of this calendar, 1967, the Steelers had won 0 Super Bowls compared to their current 6. It is difficult to know how to factor that. Also, medical science was a lot worse back in 1967, without the MRI having been invented, for instance. With our calendar you can schedule an MRI appointment if you want (though you don’t have to because the SLP calendar is not into medical appointments); whereas with this calendar you could not only not get an MRI, but the doctor’s offices and hospitals were likely not taking appointments between December 27 and December 31st.
In addition, the SLP calendar features both warm and cold times of the year to suit different preferences, which is academically supported (citation: differentiated instruction). This calendar only has cold weather.
After carefully considering all of these factors, we conclude that the SLP Calendar defeats the Old Dutch “Good Beer” Calendar in blowout fashion.
Note: we do realize it is the Old Dutch “The Good Beer” Calendar—but that is too many “the”s for our liking.
