THE SLP CALENDAR
Organize Your Sweetness
The history of calendars is very boring. So we won’t get into all of that. But we will say that the current calendar–-the Gregorian Calendar–-has been in use since 1582.
A lot of things have been updated since 1582.
Like transportation. We use cars and planes now instead of walking.
Medicine has been updated. We now use x-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and other fancy diagnostics that inform effective treatments instead of guessing, making things up, magic, the color blue, and hard drugs.
Well, we still use the hard drugs which can be problematic, but on the balance we’ve seen massive improvement resulting in increased quality of lives that are now longer, spanning more years of the calendar: a soon-to-be-improved SLP Calendar rather than the out-of-date Gregorian.
Sports have been updated from literally killing each other as a sport, to simply causing long-term brain damage and other life-altering injuries.
We use computer operating systems to run things now instead of cave walls. And our computers are constantly improving, bettering themselves at every turn. Microsoft Windows updates all the time, often when we are trying to do something on the computer, like update a great website such as sweetlivinproductions.com.
It is time we update the calendar and bring it up to speed with our current modern technology.
Technology makes things more efficient.
Let’s say you had to send a message just 150 years ago–-well into this whole Gregorian dating mess–-you had to use the Pony Express.
Not only did it take over a week to get your letter from the Midwest to the West Coast, the riders risked death daily and had to be at or below a healthy BMI, aspects not true when sending an email.
Luckily, there were forward-thinking companies like Hot Wheels that recognized the Pony Express needed to be updated in the early 21st century:
If Hot Wheels recognizes the need to keep up with the times in terms of transportation and letter delivery through rugged terrains and trying climates, we can keep up with our calendars.
Not only will our SLP Calendar save lives by getting rid of the child-labor-loving, body-shaming, sexist Pony Express, the SLP Calendar System makes life more enjoyable.
Gone from the SLP Calendar are things like work meetings, deadlines, or doctors’ appointments.
Also absent from the SLP Calendar are lackluster days like most Mondays or Wednesdays.
365 is simply too many days for people to keep track of in a year.
So we’ve streamlined life for you, and only include the important, fun days here.
