Most Improved Gunslinger

Will Smith

To be clear, that is Will Smith. To also be clear, that is not him holding his Most Improved Gunslinger Award. But that is a similar pose and sense of excitement and accomplishment that you would see if you saw Will Smith accept the coveted Most Improved Gunslinger Award, especially the ultra-coveted one-of-a-kind Inaugural Most Improved Gunslinger Award, which is what he has captured here.

How He Did It

For years—decades actually—Will Smith made great career decisions, making himself an American Icon that everybody liked. He was cool, he was wholesome, he was hip, he was marketable to everyone in a way that great gunslingers are not as corporate sponsors often shy away from the often errant aim of gunslingers and frown upon their propensity for throwing interceptions (Favre, Brett), sending dick pics (Favre, Brett), and stealing from kids (Favre, Brett).

Smith had pursued a nearly mistake-free career: while we cannot rightly say he had exactly a perfect QB rating, we can say he never threw an interception. Evidently this, along with starring in once-wholesome western Wild Wild West and recording a wholesome hit song with the same title, was all an elaborate gunslinger plot on his part to eventually win the first-ever Most Improved Gunslinger Award through his infamous (according to non-gunslingers) but famous (according to gunslingers) slap of Chris Rock. Will Smith lost a lot from the incident, but gained a lot of gunslinging credentials.

We mean a lot.

Enough for him to land the coveted one-and-only inaugural Most Improved Gunslinger Special Gunslinger Award.

He also inspired us to do some gunslinging ourselves by using an absurd amount of our very limited resources to gain the rights to legally use that above photograph. #GoodGunslingingBegetsGoodGunslinging

Will such gunslinging of investing heavily in the Will Smith photograph payoff?

Yes—as long as the metric used to measure such success is not an officially-recognized monetary currency returning to us at a greater value than the original investment into the photograph.
