A fun, jumpy song, from 2pac’s first album, 2Pacalypse Now, “Something Wicked” offers quick-hitting rhymes with a funky flavor that was more present in 2Pac’s earlier years. Just one verse–as 2pac was not shy doing for songs on this album–but like he says as the verse concludes, “one verse is all it takes.” That is true: a little 2Pac goes a long way. You might need to work five days to earn your paycheck and sleep 8 hours to have enough energy for the day, but one verse of 2Pac is all it takes to give you the necessary spirit and stamina for the weekend.
