This is the last song on Better Dayz, with only the Outro following it. Being the last song on Disc 2 of this landmark album with Johnny “J” producing it and the Outlawz featured, this song is somewhat the end of an era. While songs produced by Johnny “J” do appear on the Tupac: Resurrection soundtrack, they were songs that were earlier released in the same form. That soundtrack, and Loyal to the Game which came out the following year, essentially marks the Eminem-era of 2Pac production; that was a good era as well, as all 2Pac eras are good eras.
Even if there were other fresh Johnny “J”-produced 2Pac tracks that came out on another future 2Pac release, it was not with the frequency Johnny “J” produced for 2Pac from 1993 until this very song you see featured here on this 2Pac Friday.
While the Outlawz would continue to be prevalent on 2Pac tracks, Johnny “J” would not. That is not a bad or good thing, but rather just marks the end of a period in the 2Pac catalog.
And the beginning of this 2Pac Weekend, beginning with this 2Pac Friday.
