2Pac Friday

We continue the “2Pac is still with us” theme (which is really the theme of every 2Pac Friday) with our post-2Pac Las Vegas/Oakland pilgrimage.

“Still I Rise” Is the such a perfect track for this theme. Of course there is the title itself which is also the title of the album it appeared on, which was released at end of 1999, just before we hit this millennium.

This song opens with a 2Pac verse that is meaty, one of the longest he ever did. As song is produced by Johnny “J” and obviously features the Outlawz, both mainstays of the latter part of 2Pac’s career, it has that quintessential 2Pac feel and sound, making him feel that much more alive when we hear it.
