Springtime weather today! In fact, we have gorgeous weather all week. And “It Ain’t Easy” is a laidback track that always elicits lazy summer days for me, even though the chorus of the song is about whether or not 2Pac (or the narrator) will go to jail.
This track was produced by Tony Pizarro who also did the previous track on Me Against the World, which is one of the 2Pac’s biggest hits: “Dear Mama.”
Overall, this more laidback/positive/thoughtful song is indicative of the album as whole, which arguably represents the pinnacle of 2Pac’s career where he shortly held a certain balance in his music between the edginess, meaningfulness, and polished production.
But what is not arguable is that 2Pac Friday is the pinnacle of the week.
