2Pac Friday

Continuing with our Tupac Way in Oakland theme, we choose “Ain’t Hard 2 Find” as this 2Pac Friday’s featured track. We don’t want Tupac Shakur Way in Oakland to be hard to find for anyone.

When I first heard that there was a street named after 2Pac in Oakland, I thought it was a whole street. I suppose I did not research it too deeply. But I thought I’d love to visit it if I got the opportunity to do so.

And Monday of last week I got the opportunity to do so. Tupac Shakur Way is not so hard to find, but I want to make it even easier to find for others who may also want to pay homage to 2Pac in Oakland.

We you get out of the SFO airport, you want to make it over to BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit). You take a quick airport train to get there. All you have to do is take the Red Line towards Richmond or the Yellow Line towards Antioch and get off at 19th Street in Oakland. That takes something like 40 minutes I believe. Then you can walk about 20 minutes to Tupac Shakur Way (I love subways, but I’m not a huge fan of buses—you could take a bus to get closer to Tupac Shakur Way if you so prefer).

Now, Tupac Shakur Way is not its own street. But rather is a section of MacArthur Avenue between Grand Avenue and Van Buren Avenue.
