As yesterday was our very own Leap Day Liftoff—part of our Leap Year Launch—of The Shopper & The Salesman: A Sweet Livin’ Web Series, Season 1, “Don’t Sleep” feels like a very appropriate 2Pac song to get us jazzed up on a new venture.
Not only will we not be sleeping much with many more preparations head, but you should never sleep on 2Pac’s greatness—or, more appropriately for this moment “Don’t sleep” on 2Pac’s greatness. And “don’t sleep” on The Shopper & The Salesman: A Sweet Livin’ Web Series, Season 1.
Speaking of not sleeping on greatness, I love to continually chide friends with the phrase “Don’t sleep on greatness” when it comes to the very great Pittsburgh Steelers, who often perform great feats, and should again return to high levels of glory in this upcoming 2024 season.
So this wonderful 2Pac song, “Don’t Sleep” is a great kind of anthem for the phrase “Don’t sleep on greatness.” That may not make perfect logical sense to everyone. But it does to me.
So, on this 2Pac Friday, and upcoming 2Pac Weekend (as every weekend is really just an extension of 2Pac Fridays), don’t sleep on any kind of greatness.
